Cameron started as both an outfield player and goalkeeper with Coerver Coaching, and acknowledged the importance of the technical training he received with Coerver Coaching “I started Coerver when I was 11, and was lucky enough to be selected for tours to Japan, Spain and Singapore.  Coerver taught me outfield skills as well as keeper, which was really important for my development.  Every football player should do Coerver.  It is an awesome program, which definitely put me on track to where I am today, with the Adelaide United Youth Team and Young Socceroos.”

Coerver Coaching Asia Pacific Technical Instructor, Adrian Haynes, recalls the determination and effort Cameron showed to pursue his football goals “Cameron displayed great talent as both an on field player and goal keeper in his early days with Coerver Coaching. Cameron was an extremely dedicated player travelling vast distances to attend numerous Coerver Coaching camps and programs. The time came when he needed to make a decision on focusing on being a field player or a goal keeper. This was a difficult decision as Cameron was extremely talented at both and showed great promise to go to the next level. Cameron decided to focus on his goal keeping, utilising his Coerver Ball mastery skills to be comfortable as a keeper with the ball at his feet under full pressure, which ultimately has resulted in his selection in the Young Socceroos side. He also extended his knowledge of the game to an international level when he toured to Japan and Singapore with Coerver Coaching select squads. Everyone at Coerver Coaching is extremely proud of Cameron and pass on our best wishes to him and his entire family and we look forward to watching him in action in Chinese Taipei over the next few weeks.”

When asked how Coerver Coaching had influenced Cameron’s development, Cameron’s Mum Catherine Cook said “Coerver has played a huge part in Cam’s development, and he still remains friends with players and staff today. The ongoing support form staff is second to none. Coerver has taught Cam a lot, both on and off the pitch and the overseas tours have been an unforgettable experience for him and our family.”

Everyone at Coerver Coaching would like to wish Cameron luck in the qualifiers, and we look forward to continuing to watch Cameron’s career progress.
